CHINA NATIONAL DAY HOLIDAY - 1ST OCTOBER TO 7TH OCTOBER 2026

Please be advised that China’s National Day Holiday, commonly known as Golden Week, will take place from Thursday 1 October through to Wednesday 7 October 2026, with our offices resuming operations from Thursday 8 October.

During this period, factories and many logistics providers across Mainland China will be closed or operating at reduced capacity. This is expected to impact export and import bookings, trucking, warehouse operations and cargo deliveries.

The lead-up to Golden Week traditionally results in increased demand for both ocean and airfreight capacity, with space and local transport becoming increasingly tight as the holiday approaches. Some disruption and cargo backlogs can also be expected immediately following the holiday.

Customers with shipments planned for late September or early October are encouraged to provide booking instructions as early as possible and confirm factory closure and cargo-ready dates with their suppliers.

Hong Kong and Macau will also observe National Day holidays, although their official holiday periods differ from Mainland China.
